Is it possible to choose and create my own design?
Yes. It is! We can work with you to create the holiday lighting design you want to display, then install it perfectly based on your plan.
Will I need to be home during installation?
No. As long as you have an exterior power connection for us to hook the lights into. We can install your holiday lights while you’re away. However, you may prefer to be home – it’s completely up to you.
What type of lights can I choose from?
Our lighting sets are LED and can help you save energy while lasting for years on end. We also offer RGB lights that you can control. A simple remote will allow you to change the color of your display.

What a Birmingham Christmas install actually involves
A central Alabama December is wet rather than hard-frozen. The month averages a high near 55°F and a low near 36°F, and winter is the wettest season here, so a display goes up damp, dips below freezing overnight and thaws again by mid-morning for weeks. That cycle, plus the ice event that arrives every few winters, is what pulls a hardware-store clip off a gutter in January. We size the clip to your actual edge, fix to structure rather than through roofing material, and keep the run serviceable so a dark section is a visit rather than a rebuild.
The housing splits along Red Mountain. Over the mountain — Mountain Brook, Homewood, Vestavia Hills — the stock is 1920s to 1950s brick and stone with steep pitches, slate and tile roofs, and deep decorative eaves that a standard clip cannot grip, so those runs are planned around the trim and fixed to fascia and drip edge. Out in Hoover, Ross Bridge, Greystone and Chelsea the fascia is straight and simple to hang, but three-storey elevations on sloping lots put the top run a long way off the ground.
The other local factor is the tree canopy. Mountain Brook and Homewood have mature hardwoods over most streets, which changes what the display looks like from the kerb and, more practically, where a lift can stand. Book early: the wooded, steep, over-the-mountain properties need dry days and daylight more than anything else we do, and the city sets a visible bar with Zoolight Safari at the Birmingham Zoo every December.

How it works, step by step

Book the consult
You pick a time and point at what you want lit. We walk the property, measure the roofline and check the power. It costs nothing and there is no obligation.

Approve the design
We show you the run, the color options and the number. Nothing gets ordered until you say yes, and the quote is the quote.

Install day
You do not need to be home for most installs. We fit, test every section and set the timer or app schedule before we leave.

Season, then takedown
Call us if anything fails. After the holidays we remove the display and store it, so nothing takes up your garage.
Why hire a pro instead of doing it yourself
Height and pitch are the real problem. A two-story front with a steep pitch above a walkout is a long way up, and the days you would be up there are cold, often wet, and sometimes icy. Our crews work at that height with the right access equipment as a matter of routine, which is a different proposition from a homeowner on an extension ladder in December.
The finish is the other half. A fitted run follows the line of your architecture, turns where the roof turns, and holds its spacing across the whole elevation. Retail strings come in fixed lengths, so they either fall short or bunch, and their sockets are not built to survive a freeze-thaw cycle. That is why a professional install still looks deliberate in January.
